For six days, you'll live aboard Alma with just six other guests, sailing through the ice-filled waters of Disko Bay. We'll follow the conditions of the sea and ice, stepping ashore in remote communities, hiking through Arctic landscapes, searching for whales and anchoring wherever the conditions allow.

The Route
Our expedition begins in Ilulissat, home to the spectacular UNESCO-listed Icefjord, before we set sail into the wild waters of Disko Bay.
Along the way, we'll explore some of Greenland's most remarkable landscapes and remote communities, including:

We're on an expedition, not a tour. Ice, weather and wildlife will shape our route each day, allowing us to follow the best conditions and discover places that larger vessels simply can't reach.
The Boat
Alma is a handcrafted modern replica inspired by Roald Amundsen's historic expedition vessel, built for sailing through some of the world's most remote and challenging waters.
For six days, Alma isn't just how we get around. She's our home, our basecamp and part of the adventure.
With a maximum of just 7 guests, she's small enough to reach remote anchorages and navigate waters that larger vessels can't, while giving us a much more intimate experience of Greenland.
Life aboard is intentionally simple and authentic. You'll sleep in shared cabins with bunk beds, wake up surrounded by ice and spend your evenings gathered together on board, sharing stories from the day's adventure.
There are two shared bathrooms and everything you need for life at sea, but don't expect a luxury yacht.
This is an Arctic expedition. And that's exactly what makes it special.

This is not a traditional Greenland tour or cruise. You’ll be joining an exclusive 6-day Arctic sailing expedition with just 7 guests, aboard Alma, a unique expedition vessel inspired by Roald Amundsen’s legendary Gjøa.
Your price includes 5 nights aboard the boat, all meals during the expedition, professional crew, shore excursions, fishing equipment and all safety equipment.
With such a small group, the experience is completely different from a large cruise: we can access smaller places, adapt our route to the conditions and spend our days immersed in the Arctic rather than following a fixed tourist itinerary.
You’re not just booking accommodation in Greenland, you’re joining a real sailing expedition through Disko Bay.

The accommodation is simple, comfortable and very much part of the expedition experience. This is a traditional-style sailing vessel, not a luxury yacht or cruise ship.

Yes, there are two showers onboard.
Because Alma is a small expedition vessel, facilities are more compact than you would find in a hotel. Expect a practical boat-style bathroom rather than a luxury bathroom.

Absolutely not.
Alma is operated by an experienced professional skipper and crew. You don't need to know how to sail or have any previous expedition experience.
If you want to get involved and learn about sailing, you're welcome to but you can also simply enjoy the experience.

You should be comfortable being active outdoors.
There may be hiking, getting in and out of small boats, moving around the vessel and spending time outdoors in cold conditions.
You don't need to be an athlete, but this isn't a resort holiday. A sense of adventure is more important than fitness.

Absolutely!! Greenland is an incredible place for photography and filmmaking.
There will be plenty of opportunities to capture icebergs, wildlife, landscapes, settlements and life aboard Alma.
