The Greenland Sailing Expedition 2027

This isn't a cruise. It's a true Arctic expedition.

Join us aboard Alma, a handcrafted modern replica of Roald Amundsen's legendary expedition ship, for six unforgettable days exploring the breathtaking nature of Greenland's Disko Bay.

With only 7 guests on board, this is an intimate adventure designed for those who crave wild landscapes, meaningful experiences, and life far away from the crowds.

Together we will:

  • sail among towering icebergs 🧊

  • search for humpback whales 🐋

  • visit remote Greenlandic settlements 🏡

  • hike untouched landscapes 🥾

  • catch fish and cook it together 🎣

  • take an Arctic plunge (for the brave!) 🌊

  • experience the Arctic under the midnight sun🌞

Every day is shaped by the weather, wildlife, and sea ice, making every expedition completely unique.

Whether we're watching glaciers break into the ocean, sharing stories over freshly caught fish, or enjoying a quiet evening anchored beside drifting icebergs, this journey is about slowing down and reconnecting with nature.

The Route

Our expedition begins in Ilulissat, home to the world-famous UNESCO Icefjord.

From there we'll explore the incredible waters of Disko Bay, Highlights of the expedition include:

  • Ilulissat Icefjord

  • Eqi Glacier

  • Qullissat Ghost Town

  • Saqqaq

  • Remote anchorages throughout Disko Bay

Because this is a genuine expedition, our exact route remains flexible. Ice conditions, wildlife sightings and weather will guide our journey, allowing us to make the most of every day.

The Boat

Alma is a handcrafted modern replica inspired by Roald Amundsen's historic expedition vessel.

Built for Arctic adventure while offering modern comfort, she combines traditional sailing with an authentic expedition atmosphere unlike anything you'll find on a typical cruise ship.

Small enough to reach remote anchorages and large enough to feel comfortable, Alma becomes your home as we explore one of the world's last great wildernesses.

This traditional wooden expedition ship features shared cabins with bunk beds and two shared bathrooms, creating an authentic expedition experience.
